أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَیۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡفِیلِ
﴿١﴾
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?(1)
Tafseer:
أَلَمۡ یَجۡعَلۡ كَیۡدَهُمۡ فِی تَضۡلِیلࣲ
﴿٢﴾
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?(2)
Tafseer:
وَأَرۡسَلَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ طَیۡرًا أَبَابِیلَ
﴿٣﴾
And He sent against them birds in flocks,(3)
Tafseer:
تَرۡمِیهِم بِحِجَارَةࣲ مِّن سِجِّیلࣲ
﴿٤﴾
Striking them with stones of hard clay,(4)
Tafseer:
فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفࣲ مَّأۡكُولِۭ
﴿٥﴾
And He made them like eaten straw.(5)
