وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
﴿١﴾
By the morning brightness(1)
Tafseer:
وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
﴿٢﴾
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,(2)
Tafseer:
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
﴿٣﴾
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].(3)
Tafseer:
وَلَلۡـَٔاخِرَةُ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
﴿٤﴾
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].(4)
Tafseer:
وَلَسَوۡفَ یُعۡطِیكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰۤ
﴿٥﴾
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.(5)
Tafseer:
أَلَمۡ یَجِدۡكَ یَتِیمࣰا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
﴿٦﴾
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?(6)
Tafseer:
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَاۤلࣰّا فَهَدَىٰ
﴿٧﴾
And He found you lost and guided [you],(7)
Tafseer:
وَوَجَدَكَ عَاۤىِٕلࣰا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
﴿٨﴾
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.(8)
Tafseer:
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡیَتِیمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
﴿٩﴾
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].(9)
Tafseer:
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّاۤىِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
﴿١٠﴾
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].(10)
Tafseer:
وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
﴿١١﴾
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].(11)
