Surah Al-'adiyat (Those That Run) - Aya count 11

وَٱلۡعَـٰدِیَـٰتِ ضَبۡحࣰا ﴿١﴾

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

فَٱلۡمُورِیَـٰتِ قَدۡحࣰا ﴿٢﴾

And strike sparks of fire,

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

فَٱلۡمُغِیرَ ٰ⁠تِ صُبۡحࣰا ﴿٣﴾

And push home the charge in the morning,

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعࣰا ﴿٤﴾

And raise the dust in clouds the while,

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا ﴿٥﴾

And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودࣱ ﴿٦﴾

Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ لَشَهِیدࣱ ﴿٧﴾

And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَیۡرِ لَشَدِیدٌ ﴿٨﴾

And violent is he in his love of wealth.

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

۞ أَفَلَا یَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِی ٱلۡقُبُورِ ﴿٩﴾

Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِی ٱلصُّدُورِ ﴿١٠﴾

And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest-

Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لَّخَبِیرُۢ ﴿١١﴾

That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?
