﴿١﴾
(The Prophet) frowned and turned away,(1)
Tafseer:
﴿٢﴾
Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).(2)
Tafseer:
﴿٣﴾
But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?-(3)
Tafseer:
﴿٤﴾
Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?(4)
Tafseer:
﴿٥﴾
As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient,(5)
Tafseer:
﴿٦﴾
To him dost thou attend;(6)
Tafseer:
﴿٧﴾
Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding).(7)
Tafseer:
﴿٨﴾
But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly,(8)
Tafseer:
﴿٩﴾
And with fear (in his heart),(9)
Tafseer:
Of him wast thou unmindful.(10)
Tafseer:
By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:(11)
Tafseer:
Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.(12)
Tafseer:
(It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour,(13)
Tafseer:
Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,(14)
Tafseer:
(Written) by the hands of scribes-(15)
Tafseer:
Honourable and Pious and Just.(16)
Tafseer:
Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah;(17)
Tafseer:
From what stuff hath He created him?(18)
Tafseer:
From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;(19)
Tafseer:
Then doth He make His path smooth for him;(20)
Tafseer:
Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave;(21)
Tafseer:
Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).(22)
Tafseer:
By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.(23)
Tafseer:
Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):(24)
Tafseer:
For that We pour forth water in abundance,(25)
Tafseer:
And We split the earth in fragments,(26)
Tafseer:
And produce therein corn,(27)
Tafseer:
And Grapes and nutritious plants,(28)
Tafseer:
And Olives and Dates,(29)
Tafseer:
And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,(30)
Tafseer:
And fruits and fodder,-(31)
Tafseer:
For use and convenience to you and your cattle.(32)
Tafseer:
At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,-(33)
Tafseer:
That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,(34)
Tafseer:
And from his mother and his father,(35)
Tafseer:
And from his wife and his children.(36)
Tafseer:
Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.(37)
Tafseer:
Some faces that Day will be beaming,(38)
Tafseer:
Laughing, rejoicing.(39)
Tafseer:
And other faces that Day will be dust-stained,(40)
Tafseer:
Blackness will cover them:(41)
Tafseer:
Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.(42)
Tafseer:
