إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا
﴿١﴾
When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion,(1)
Tafseer:
وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَا
﴿٢﴾
And the earth throws up her burdens (from within),(2)
Tafseer:
وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا
﴿٣﴾
And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'-(3)
Tafseer:
یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ تُحَدِّثُ أَخۡبَارَهَا
﴿٤﴾
On that Day will she declare her tidings:(4)
Tafseer:
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَا
﴿٥﴾
For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.(5)
Tafseer:
یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ یَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتࣰا لِّیُرَوۡاْ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ
﴿٦﴾
On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done).(6)
Tafseer:
فَمَن یَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَیۡرࣰا یَرَهُۥ
﴿٧﴾
Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!(7)
Tafseer:
وَمَن یَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةࣲ شَرࣰّا یَرَهُۥ
﴿٨﴾
And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it.(8)
