وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ
﴿١﴾
By the sky and the night comer -(1)
Tafseer:
وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ
﴿٢﴾
And what can make you know what is the night comer?(2)
Tafseer:
ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
﴿٣﴾
It is the piercing star -(3)
Tafseer:
إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ لَّمَّا عَلَیۡهَا حَافِظࣱ
﴿٤﴾
There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.(4)
Tafseer:
فَلۡیَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
﴿٥﴾
So let man observe from what he was created.(5)
Tafseer:
خُلِقَ مِن مَّاۤءࣲ دَافِقࣲ
﴿٦﴾
He was created from a fluid, ejected,(6)
Tafseer:
یَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَاۤىِٕبِ
﴿٧﴾
Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.(7)
Tafseer:
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرࣱ
﴿٨﴾
Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.(8)
Tafseer:
یَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَاۤىِٕرُ
﴿٩﴾
The Day when secrets will be put on trial,(9)
Tafseer:
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةࣲ وَلَا نَاصِرࣲ
﴿١٠﴾
Then man will have no power or any helper.(10)
Tafseer:
وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ
﴿١١﴾
By the sky which returns [rain](11)
Tafseer:
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ
﴿١٢﴾
And [by] the earth which cracks open,(12)
Tafseer:
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلࣱ فَصۡلࣱ
﴿١٣﴾
Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,(13)
Tafseer:
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ
﴿١٤﴾
And it is not amusement.(14)
Tafseer:
إِنَّهُمۡ یَكِیدُونَ كَیۡدࣰا
﴿١٥﴾
Indeed, they are planning a plan,(15)
Tafseer:
وَأَكِیدُ كَیۡدࣰا
﴿١٦﴾
But I am planning a plan.(16)
Tafseer:
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَیۡدَۢا
﴿١٧﴾
So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.(17)
