هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِیثُ ٱلۡغَـٰشِیَةِ
﴿١﴾
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?(1)
Tafseer:
وُجُوهࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ
﴿٢﴾
[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,(2)
Tafseer:
عَامِلَةࣱ نَّاصِبَةࣱ
﴿٣﴾
Working [hard] and exhausted.(3)
Tafseer:
تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِیَةࣰ
﴿٤﴾
They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.(4)
Tafseer:
تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَیۡنٍ ءَانِیَةࣲ
﴿٥﴾
They will be given drink from a boiling spring.(5)
Tafseer:
لَّیۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِیعࣲ
﴿٦﴾
For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant(6)
Tafseer:
لَّا یُسۡمِنُ وَلَا یُغۡنِی مِن جُوعࣲ
﴿٧﴾
Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.(7)
Tafseer:
وُجُوهࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ نَّاعِمَةࣱ
﴿٨﴾
[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.(8)
Tafseer:
لِّسَعۡیِهَا رَاضِیَةࣱ
﴿٩﴾
With their effort [they are] satisfied(9)
Tafseer:
فِی جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةࣲ
﴿١٠﴾
In an elevated garden,(10)
Tafseer:
لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِیهَا لَـٰغِیَةࣰ
﴿١١﴾
Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.(11)
Tafseer:
فِیهَا عَیۡنࣱ جَارِیَةࣱ
﴿١٢﴾
Within it is a flowing spring.(12)
Tafseer:
فِیهَا سُرُرࣱ مَّرۡفُوعَةࣱ
﴿١٣﴾
Within it are couches raised high(13)
Tafseer:
وَأَكۡوَابࣱ مَّوۡضُوعَةࣱ
﴿١٤﴾
And cups put in place(14)
Tafseer:
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوفَةࣱ
﴿١٥﴾
And cushions lined up(15)
Tafseer:
وَزَرَابِیُّ مَبۡثُوثَةٌ
﴿١٦﴾
And carpets spread around.(16)
Tafseer:
أَفَلَا یَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِبِلِ كَیۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ
﴿١٧﴾
Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?(17)
Tafseer:
وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ كَیۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ
﴿١٨﴾
And at the sky - how it is raised?(18)
Tafseer:
وَإِلَى ٱلۡجِبَالِ كَیۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ
﴿١٩﴾
And at the mountains - how they are erected?(19)
Tafseer:
وَإِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَیۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ
﴿٢٠﴾
And at the earth - how it is spread out?(20)
Tafseer:
فَذَكِّرۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرࣱ
﴿٢١﴾
So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.(21)
Tafseer:
لَّسۡتَ عَلَیۡهِم بِمُصَیۡطِرٍ
﴿٢٢﴾
You are not over them a controller.(22)
Tafseer:
إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ
﴿٢٣﴾
However, he who turns away and disbelieves -(23)
Tafseer:
فَیُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرَ
﴿٢٤﴾
Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.(24)
Tafseer:
إِنَّ إِلَیۡنَاۤ إِیَابَهُمۡ
﴿٢٥﴾
Indeed, to Us is their return.(25)
Tafseer:
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا حِسَابَهُم
﴿٢٦﴾
Then indeed, upon Us is their account.(26)
