وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ
﴿١﴾
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-(1)
Tafseer:
وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ
﴿٢﴾
And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?-(2)
Tafseer:
ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
﴿٣﴾
(It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-(3)
Tafseer:
إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ لَّمَّا عَلَیۡهَا حَافِظࣱ
﴿٤﴾
There is no soul but has a protector over it.(4)
Tafseer:
فَلۡیَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
﴿٥﴾
Now let man but think from what he is created!(5)
Tafseer:
خُلِقَ مِن مَّاۤءࣲ دَافِقࣲ
﴿٦﴾
He is created from a drop emitted-(6)
Tafseer:
یَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَاۤىِٕبِ
﴿٧﴾
Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:(7)
Tafseer:
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرࣱ
﴿٨﴾
Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!(8)
Tafseer:
یَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَاۤىِٕرُ
﴿٩﴾
The Day that (all) things secret will be tested,(9)
Tafseer:
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةࣲ وَلَا نَاصِرࣲ
﴿١٠﴾
(Man) will have no power, and no helper.(10)
Tafseer:
وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ
﴿١١﴾
By the Firmament which returns (in its round),(11)
Tafseer:
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ
﴿١٢﴾
And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),-(12)
Tafseer:
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلࣱ فَصۡلࣱ
﴿١٣﴾
Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):(13)
Tafseer:
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ
﴿١٤﴾
It is not a thing for amusement.(14)
Tafseer:
إِنَّهُمۡ یَكِیدُونَ كَیۡدࣰا
﴿١٥﴾
As for them, they are but plotting a scheme,(15)
Tafseer:
وَأَكِیدُ كَیۡدࣰا
﴿١٦﴾
And I am planning a scheme.(16)
Tafseer:
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَیۡدَۢا
﴿١٧﴾
Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile).(17)
