وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذَا یَغۡشَىٰ ﴿١﴾
By the Night as it conceals (the light);(1)
Tafseer:
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ﴿٢﴾
By the Day as it appears in glory;(2)
Tafseer:
وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۤ ﴿٣﴾
By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;-(3)
Tafseer:
إِنَّ سَعۡیَكُمۡ لَشَتَّىٰ ﴿٤﴾
Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse.(4)
Tafseer:
فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أَعۡطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ ﴿٥﴾
So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah),(5)
Tafseer:
وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ ﴿٦﴾
And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,-(6)
Tafseer:
فَسَنُیَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡیُسۡرَىٰ ﴿٧﴾
We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss.(7)
Tafseer:
وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ ﴿٨﴾
But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient,(8)
Tafseer:
وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ ﴿٩﴾
And gives the lie to the best,-(9)
Tafseer:
فَسَنُیَسِّرُهُۥ لِلۡعُسۡرَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾
We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery;(10)
Tafseer:
وَمَا یُغۡنِی عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥۤ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰۤ ﴿١١﴾
Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit).(11)
Tafseer:
إِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا لَلۡهُدَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾
Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide,(12)
Tafseer:
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلۡـَٔاخِرَةَ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾
And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning.(13)
Tafseer:
فَأَنذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارࣰا تَلَظَّىٰ ﴿١٤﴾
Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely;(14)
Tafseer:
لَا یَصۡلَىٰهَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى ﴿١٥﴾
None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones(15)
Tafseer:
ٱلَّذِی كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿١٦﴾
Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs.(16)
Tafseer:
وَسَیُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَتۡقَى ﴿١٧﴾
But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,-(17)
Tafseer:
ٱلَّذِی یُؤۡتِی مَالَهُۥ یَتَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٨﴾
Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification,(18)
Tafseer:
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعۡمَةࣲ تُجۡزَىٰۤ ﴿١٩﴾
And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return,(19)
Tafseer:
إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ ﴿٢٠﴾
But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;(20)
Tafseer:
وَلَسَوۡفَ یَرۡضَىٰ ﴿٢١﴾
And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction.(21)
Tafseer:
