وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
﴿١﴾
By the Glorious Morning Light,(1)
Tafseer:
وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
﴿٢﴾
And by the Night when it is still,-(2)
Tafseer:
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
﴿٣﴾
Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.(3)
Tafseer:
وَلَلۡـَٔاخِرَةُ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
﴿٤﴾
And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.(4)
Tafseer:
وَلَسَوۡفَ یُعۡطِیكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰۤ
﴿٥﴾
And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.(5)
Tafseer:
أَلَمۡ یَجِدۡكَ یَتِیمࣰا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
﴿٦﴾
Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?(6)
Tafseer:
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَاۤلࣰّا فَهَدَىٰ
﴿٧﴾
And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.(7)
Tafseer:
وَوَجَدَكَ عَاۤىِٕلࣰا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
﴿٨﴾
And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.(8)
Tafseer:
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡیَتِیمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
﴿٩﴾
Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,(9)
Tafseer:
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّاۤىِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
﴿١٠﴾
Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);(10)
Tafseer:
وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
﴿١١﴾
But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!(11)
Tafseer:
