Surah Al-Insan (Man) - Aya count 31

هَلۡ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنِ حِینࣱ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهۡرِ لَمۡ یَكُن شَیۡـࣰٔا مَّذۡكُورًا ﴿١﴾

Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned?


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطۡفَةٍ أَمۡشَاجࣲ نَّبۡتَلِیهِ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ سَمِیعَۢا بَصِیرًا ﴿٢﴾

Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّا هَدَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلسَّبِیلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرࣰا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا ﴿٣﴾

Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّاۤ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ سَلَـٰسِلَاْ وَأَغۡلَـٰلࣰا وَسَعِیرًا ﴿٤﴾

Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ یَشۡرَبُونَ مِن كَأۡسࣲ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا ﴿٥﴾

Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kafur,


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

عَیۡنࣰا یَشۡرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ ٱللَّهِ یُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفۡجِیرࣰا ﴿٦﴾

A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allah will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance].


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

یُوفُونَ بِٱلنَّذۡرِ وَیَخَافُونَ یَوۡمࣰا كَانَ شَرُّهُۥ مُسۡتَطِیرࣰا ﴿٧﴾

They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَیُطۡعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسۡكِینࣰا وَیَتِیمࣰا وَأَسِیرًا ﴿٨﴾

And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِوَجۡهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِیدُ مِنكُمۡ جَزَاۤءࣰ وَلَا شُكُورًا ﴿٩﴾

[Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا یَوۡمًا عَبُوسࣰا قَمۡطَرِیرࣰا ﴿١٠﴾

Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful."


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

فَوَقَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمِ وَلَقَّىٰهُمۡ نَضۡرَةࣰ وَسُرُورࣰا ﴿١١﴾

So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَجَزَىٰهُم بِمَا صَبَرُواْ جَنَّةࣰ وَحَرِیرࣰا ﴿١٢﴾

And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments].


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

مُّتَّكِـِٔینَ فِیهَا عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَاۤىِٕكِۖ لَا یَرَوۡنَ فِیهَا شَمۡسࣰا وَلَا زَمۡهَرِیرࣰا ﴿١٣﴾

[They will be] reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَدَانِیَةً عَلَیۡهِمۡ ظِلَـٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتۡ قُطُوفُهَا تَذۡلِیلࣰا ﴿١٤﴾

And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَیُطَافُ عَلَیۡهِم بِـَٔانِیَةࣲ مِّن فِضَّةࣲ وَأَكۡوَابࣲ كَانَتۡ قَوَارِیرَا۠ ﴿١٥﴾

And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass],


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

قَوَارِیرَاْ مِن فِضَّةࣲ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقۡدِیرࣰا ﴿١٦﴾

Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَیُسۡقَوۡنَ فِیهَا كَأۡسࣰا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِیلًا ﴿١٧﴾

And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger

عَیۡنࣰا فِیهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلۡسَبِیلࣰا ﴿١٨﴾

[From] a fountain within Paradise named Salsabeel.

۞ وَیَطُوفُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَ ٰ⁠نࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَیۡتَهُمۡ حَسِبۡتَهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤࣰا مَّنثُورࣰا ﴿١٩﴾

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls.

وَإِذَا رَأَیۡتَ ثَمَّ رَأَیۡتَ نَعِیمࣰا وَمُلۡكࣰا كَبِیرًا ﴿٢٠﴾

And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion.

عَـٰلِیَهُمۡ ثِیَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضۡرࣱ وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقࣱۖ وَحُلُّوۤاْ أَسَاوِرَ مِن فِضَّةࣲ وَسَقَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ شَرَابࣰا طَهُورًا ﴿٢١﴾

Upon the inhabitants will be green garments of fine silk and brocade. And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ جَزَاۤءࣰ وَكَانَ سَعۡیُكُم مَّشۡكُورًا ﴿٢٢﴾

[And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated."


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَیۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَنزِیلࣰا ﴿٢٣﴾

Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعۡ مِنۡهُمۡ ءَاثِمًا أَوۡ كَفُورࣰا ﴿٢٤﴾

So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever].


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَٱذۡكُرِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ بُكۡرَةࣰ وَأَصِیلࣰا ﴿٢٥﴾

And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and evening

وَمِنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ فَٱسۡجُدۡ لَهُۥ وَسَبِّحۡهُ لَیۡلࣰا طَوِیلًا ﴿٢٦﴾

And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt Him a long [part of the] night.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ یُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ وَیَذَرُونَ وَرَاۤءَهُمۡ یَوۡمࣰا ثَقِیلࣰا ﴿٢٧﴾

Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

نَّحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَشَدَدۡنَاۤ أَسۡرَهُمۡۖ وَإِذَا شِئۡنَا بَدَّلۡنَاۤ أَمۡثَـٰلَهُمۡ تَبۡدِیلًا ﴿٢٨﴾

We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

إِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦ تَذۡكِرَةࣱۖ فَمَن شَاۤءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِیلࣰا ﴿٢٩﴾

Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

وَمَا تَشَاۤءُونَ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَشَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِیمًا حَكِیمࣰا ﴿٣٠﴾

And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.


Arabic explanations of the Qur’an:

یُدۡخِلُ مَن یَشَاۤءُ فِی رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ وَٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِیمَۢا ﴿٣١﴾

He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers - He has prepared for them a painful punishment.
